News – We made Oxygen [on Mars]

I wanted to take a minute to reflect on what we have achieved today; we were able to create oxygen on Mars! We used a device which was able to extract the carbon atom from carbon dioxide and then leave 5 grams of oxygen which was roughly enough oxygen for 10 minutes of air. Currently, it takes about 30 minutes to create that amount. The idea is to scale up the efficiency and then scale out the size with the goal that we will no longer have to transport tanks of oxygen to the other planets, but instead create them on site. It is an efficient plan and I am impressed with how far we have come.
